What’s your dream job?

What is my dream job? Well, I’m pretty much working in my dream job now!
I have often changed my mind about what I wanted to do as a career. From a professional rugby league player to a personal trainer, I’m not sure there wasn’t a profession I didn’t dream of doing.
After I stopped playing footy, I wasn’t too sure what I wanted to do. I was working as a butcher, but I wanted more.
After having some time off to nurse an injury, I started writing, and I never looked back.
When I was going through uni, I would again change my mind about whether I wanted to work in online, broadcast or audio journalism. But I knew I wanted to be a journalist.
I thought that when I finished my degree I thought I would get a job in the public service. I ended up with a video journalism job in Broken Hil.
After a year, the news bulletin got cancelled and I was made redundant. I did land on my feet however, and got a job with the ABC.
I’m lucky that I’m in my dream job, I still have aspirations. The original dream was to cover Mixed Martial Arts, and I’m still keen to do that. But who knows where I will end up.
