It has been some time since I posted on this site. I have been busy working and starting a sports and pop culture website called Game On Oz.
To say that 2024 was a challenging year is an understatement. My partner and I faced challenges that rocked us to our core, impacting us both physically and mentally. Instead of doing things that would be good for me, I turned to food and ballooned out to 120kg.
By the time Christmas came around, I was tired. Instead of taking some time off over the holiday period, I worked. So, I started 2025 just as I ended 2024, tired.
I tried my best to stay focused and do the one thing that always cheered me up: writing. But some nights, I wasn’t interested. This was not a good sign, especially since I was trying to get people to visit my website. For about four weeks, I didn’t write anything on the site as all my focus was on work and the personal issues my partner and I were going through.
While it was my first time starting a website, I know that not being consistent will not get you views. After that brief period of not posting anything on the website, I have been trying to put more content there. Some days, I am excited to get home from work and write, but other days, I have to have some time to myself.
I’m not sure what the future holds for the little site I have started. I would love for it to become my full-time job, but that won’t happen if I’m not writing and posting regularly.
