If you could un-invent something, what would it be?
This question has been giving me problems all day.
I tried to rack my brain, trying to work out what I would un-invent, and I think I finally may have come up with it.
At first, I was going to say Gender Reveals. I am not a fan of them at all. But I felt that may have been a bit unkind, as I have seen the joy it brings families and friends.
So I’m going with the smartphone.
Now, I love my smartphone, and it helps with certain things in my job, but I waste so much time on it.
I’m bad for doom scrolling, and there are two times when I do that. The first is when trying to avoid an arduous task at work. I’ll pick my phone up and play with it.
The other time I doom scroll is just before I go to sleep. I always have to see if anything is happening before I close my eyes, even though most people I know are asleep.
As much as I hate being addicted to my phone, it is a neccessary part of my life, but I’m trying to put my phone down more and picking up a book instead.
