James Krause Banned From Fighters Corner

Two big things happened to the UFC Vegas 65 Card this weekend. Firstly, the main event was cancelled due to Derrick Lewis getting a stomach illness . It has since been announced that Lewis has been medically cleared after going to hospital.

Ion Cutelaba vs Kennedy Nzechukwu was moved up to the main event, but stayed as a three round fight. Not that five rounds was needed as Nzechukwu won via TKO and picked up a performance of the night bonus.

The other is a big one, the head coach of Glory MMA, James Krause, was banned from being cageside by the Nevada Athletic Commission. One of his fighters, Miles Johnson, managed to defeat Vince Morales via unanimous decision.

Back on November 6th, it was announced that there was an investigation into irregular betting patterns on the Darrick Minner vs Shayilan Nuerdanbieke Featherweight fight. Nuerdanbieke won the fight via first round TKO. A spokesperson for the UFC has said that they have not suspended Krause.

An veteran fighter, Krause has emerged as one of the top MMA coaches. His last fight for the UFC was in 2020 where he beat Claudio Silva. As for what happens next, watch this space.
