I think that its time for Jon ‘Bones’ Jones to be scared because former training partner Rashad Evans showed that there is life after Greg Jackson. After having not fought since May 2010 Evans was able to defeat a legend for the second time in his career TKOing Tito Ortiz who was coming off probably one best wins of his career over Ryan Bader. Just a note as well Tito did take the fight on short notice and announced afterward that he had a root canal. Here are the rest of the results from the card:
Rafael Natal def Paul Bradley by unanimous decision
Mike Brown def Nam Phan by unanimous decision
Johny Hendricks def Mike Pierce by split decision
Ivan Menjivar def Nick Pace by unanimous decision
Chad Mendes def Rani Yahya by unanimous decision
Alexander Gustafsson def Matt Hamill by TKO
Rory Macdonald def Mike Pyle by TKO
Constantinos Philippou def Jorge Rivera by split decision
Brian Ebersole def Dennis Hallman by TKO (70 000 submission of the night bonus)
Vitor Belfort def Yoshihiro Akiyama by TKO (70 000 KO of the night bonus)
Rashad Evans def Tito Ortiz by TKO (70 000 fight of the night bonus)
Now you are probably wondering why Brian Ebersole got the submission of the night bonus, since there was no submission on the card UFC President Dana White gave Ebersole the bonus for getting Dennis Hallman and his speedos out of the octagon quickly. I will leave you guys with Dana White taking in a Rage Against The Machine concert.
