I’m sure everyone has dreamt of winning the lottery. I know I have, and I’ve pictured myself buying things I don’t need. Over the years, what I would do has changed, though. I have seen too many stories where people squandered the millions they have won.
Here is how I would spend my lotto winnings:
- Start a Business
I plan to start a sports and pop culture website and podcast network. If you have read my past blogs, you will know that I am a big fan of Bill Simmons and The Ringer. My goal at uni was to start up a sports website, but over the years, it has morphed to include pop culture over the last few years. I will start my empire if I don’t get hired by Bill Simmons. Winning the lotto will help that dream.
- Holiday
It’s been a while since I have travelled overseas. There are still places I want to visit. One of my dreams is to go trekking in Nepal.
- Give Some To Mum
My mum has helped me a lot, so it’s only fair that I return the favour. Happy to get anything she needs or give her a bundle of cash.
I don’t want to go overboard, but I also don’t want it to spend months or a couple years after the win.
